Behind the Lens
As long as I can remember, I have been trying to capture moments. Whether that be through a camera or on a canvas or in a journal, I have been obsessed with capturing them. Something about the realization about how each moment of life is unique and unusual and most importantly fleeting has captured my attention since I could walk. Photography and art have given me a way to remember.
As a recent graduate from Truman State University, I have been studying art since high school, and I continually learn new things. I can proudly say that I have begun to find myself as a photographer and an artist. My work now revolves around a constant idea of nature and our place in it. It serves as a reminder of the beauty around us and the fragility and importance of it. We often forget to look at the scene around us. The scene is constantly changing, and we miss it every once in a while. The important thing to remember is to look up before life passes by; before we pass by. We afterall, are only just a moment.
